Our Network
Tadcaster Volunteer Community Support Association
TVCSA have been supporting Tadcaster for over 30 years. We started as a community transport scheme, and provide over 4,000 journeys each year, helping people access medical appointments and keeping them active in their own homes with journeys for shopping, hairdressing and other social events.
Wensleydale Railway
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Wensleydale Railway. Without their efforts, there would be nothing for our thousands of visitors to ride on and see the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.
Our dedicated volunteers come from all walks of life with many different skills; some like to get their hands dirty and others do not. That is up to you!
NidderdalePlus Community Hub
We always welcome new volunteers as most of our services are delivered by volunteers giving up their time to help their community.
We have a fantastic team of volunteers here at the community hub. Volunteer sessions are varied and may include tasks in the community library and/or in our busy front office.
Bedale Community Meals on Wheels
Bedale Community Meals on Wheels, located in beautiful Bedale, North Yorkshire, is a charitable organisation dedicated to helping those in need of a regular nourishing meal. With our dedicated volunteers and partners, we strive to improve the lives of those who need help in our community.
What We Serve
Our meal consists of 2 courses delivered to your home in silver foil containers. A standard meal consists of a set hot main course of fish or meat with fresh vegetables, followed by a hot or cold pudding or sweet. We will try to accommodate special dietary requirements.
Carers Plus Yorkshire
Carers Plus Yorkshire enables unpaid Carers and those we support in the Community to be heard, to feel empowered to improve their own wellbeing, and to make positive changes in their day to day lives.
We are committed to making volunteering a two-way arrangement - giving as much as we can (in terms of training, friendship, laughter and meaningful connections) in return for your time and energy.
RAMBLERS
We are Britain’s walking charity, opening the way for everyone to enjoy the simple pleasures of walking and protecting the places we love to wander.
The Ramblers is a charity dedicated to removing barriers so everyone can enjoy walking in green spaces and to preserving and improving hundreds of thousands of miles of well-loved paths, tracks and trails across England, Scotland, and Wales. We're committed to campaigning to keep our countryside open to all and to fighting for the things that matter most to walkers.
